In love with Héléne, whom she had recently married, Marcel Rochas urged Edmond Roudnitska to create a perfume for her that would represent the ultimate in femininity and capture the sensual style of her creations.
Femme is located in an iconic and modern bottle shaped like an amphora, an authentic work of art. Inspired by Mae West's hourglass figure and marking a return to extreme femininity in fashion, it is a timeless ode to the sensual figure. This sovereign bottle inspired the famous wasp waist corset created by the dressmaker in 1946, embroidered in black on a clear satin background.

For the first time in perfumery, a fruity plum note took the lead role in a composition. Ideal for counteracting the verticality of the Cyprus agreement, it happily joins with ylang and jasmine, which are at the heart of the fragrance. A subtle touch of spices? cumin, cinnamon and cloves? They illuminate the whole. A feeling on the skin: mysterious, sophisticated and terribly sensual, like a woman's skin on top of her femininity.
